Setting Up and Collecting

Depending on which state you live in, correctly collecting taxes can be a huge pain!  Every state has different tax laws, so what works for someone else, may not work for you!  Plus, some vendors want to include the price of taxes in their products, while others want this to be added in separately.  That is why we give you the flexibility to either collect taxes or build them into the price of your item!

We download the most current tax tables for the entire US form  We then upload these tables to Home Brewed Outdoors, and use them to automatically collect the necessary taxes on any applicable sales.  You also have access to a month tax collection report, which shows which cities/counties you have collected taxes for, as well as the amount of tax collected for each, making your business filings a breeze!

Getting Started

If you would like to have taxes automatically calculated and collected, it’s very easy to get setup!  All you need to do is follow these steps:

  • Log into Home Brewed Outdoors and go to your Vendor Dashboard.
  • Click on Settings to access your store settings.
  • Click on the Tax tab.
  • Check/Uncheck the Collect Sales Tax button and click Save Changes
  • Click on “Save Changes.”
